Policy
Advertising and affiliate disclosure policy
For a download-guide site, confusing ads with official download buttons is the main risk. AppVeriq Guide keeps official CTAs separate from ads and affiliate areas.
Advertising principles
- Download-like ads are not placed around official download buttons.
- Fake download buttons, misleading banners, and auto-install prompts are prohibited.
- Affiliate links, if added, must be clearly disclosed.
- Official download links remain neutral and do not force ad clicks or purchases.
- Users must be able to inspect the official path and evidence without clicking ads.
Safe placement before AdSense or direct ads
Ads are not placed immediately around official-site buttons. Mobile layouts keep explanatory space between ads and CTAs.
If ads are added later, they must be labeled and must not use download/install/official wording.
Sidebar ads must be visually separate from verification evidence, official-domain, and license cards.
AppVeriq Guide does not distribute installers and does not position ads as official download buttons.
Prohibited wording and UI
- Ad wording that makes an ad click look like a download, such as “download now” or “official installer”
- Ad buttons that mimic the color, size, or position of official CTAs
- Mixing ads into the same card as official domain, evidence, checksum, or signature information
- Mobile layouts where ads appear before or attached to official CTAs
Ad implementation readiness
Ad slots are prepared in code but disabled by default. Live ad scripts should only be enabled after approval, publisher IDs are configured, and final placement is reviewed on desktop and mobile.
- Ad labels must remain visible above each slot.
- Software pages reserve slots only below verification/basic information or after the FAQ, not next to the official download button.
- Any direct sponsorship must use a separate disclosure and must not affect verification status.
- AdSense publisher and slot IDs must be provided through environment variables, not hard-coded into editorial content.
Pre-approval safeguards
- No live seller line is published in ads.txt until a real approved publisher account is available.
- AdSense account login, identity review, application submission, and publisher ID configuration require owner approval.
- Official-site buttons, external vendor links, evidence cards, and download-route explanations remain visible without interacting with ads.
- Any live ad placement must be rechecked on mobile so a user cannot mistake an ad for the official route.
These safeguards are intended to protect readers during AdSense review and before any live monetization rollout.
User-protection criteria
If ads or affiliate links are added, they remain visually separate, and the official-site button must point to a vendor/developer-controlled domain.
Privacy and external-link rules are explained in the privacy notice; correction and rights-holder requests are handled through the contact page.
Future affiliate disclosure
If affiliate links are added, they will receive separate labels and explanations and will not mimic official download links.
