Install OBS Studio from the project, match current Windows, macOS, or Linux support, protect recordings and stream access, and troubleshoot capture, encoding, plugin, or connection problems without reset-first advice.
Basic check order
- Begin at obsproject.com/download and choose the operating-system route shown there, not a copied installer, generic screen-recorder bundle, or old version link.
